Silver Wilkinson

British electronic musician Bibio (a.k.a. Stephen Wilkinson) returns with his seventh LP, Silver Wilkinson. The album is a stylistic nod to an earlier and more guitar-focused era of Bibio’s sound, particularly compared to the electronic orientation of his preceding album, Mind Bokeh. Bibio brings that analog finesse back and melts it beautifully with his signature woodsy guitars. Silver Wilkinson warbles its way through states of expertly-constructed pop (“À tout à l'heure” and “You”) and hazy, nostalgic ambiance (“Dye the Water Green,” “You Won’t Remember”). Silver Wilkinson is richly atmospheric, easy to get lost in, and highly enjoyable front to back.
