hauntingly seductive and balanced

The music, a perfect companion to a subtle film, is drenched is cross-cultural references and influences, but never loses touch with its message. Beautiful, loving, sad, and poetic in all its forms. Sakamoto has done it again – showing his prowess at a minimalism full of complexity because of the pregnant pauses and the choice of notes. A must hear. And the film is a must see for the visual minded, story minded, and heart-minded.

Ryuichi Sakamoto

I am quite surprised that iTunes does not mention the Japanese composer Ryuichi Sakamoto in the description of this album. His music won Oscar and he is a household name in Japan.

Amazing!!

I loved this album!!! It was beautiful and I loved how it incorperated Japaneese songs too. I can't wait for the movie.
