What An Album, What A Voice...

I remember when "W*O*L*D" first came out and it hit me like nothing I'd ever heard before. I wanted this album so badly and had to beg for it, since my parents were kind of leery about the "racy cover art." But it totally did justice to the songs inside, which were all dark, dreamy tales of lost lives, lost loves and the yearning for something better, something you can almost touch but never completely have. Harry Chapin was yet another one of those great troubadours taken from us far too soon, but at least we have work like this to enjoy through the ages. If you download no other song from this album, get "W*O*L*D". It plays like the darker flip side of "WKRP In Cincinnati."

In # 9 "a lot" is two words. You do not write "alittle".

Okay, call me a burned out, school teaching, jerk but try buying Harry's song "Mercenaries". It is obscure, but it is the master at his best.

Not the Right Version of WOLD

What gives? The version of "WOLD" here is NOT the studio LP version from "Short Stories." It's a live version from a different album.
