FUN rock and roll! Isn't that the point??

While JET never really gained any points for originality, they are just too fun to ignore. Many claim their sound is TOO unoriginal, but in my opinion JET's sound is an aggressive homage to bands like the Beatles, AC/DC, Oasis, etc. rather than a cheap rip off. When you sound this great and can rock so well, you can't help but enjoy it. So RELAX and listen to music for the fun of it again. It's not a crime, and these guys do it so much better than so many other mainstream acts these days. Go JET!!!

At this point, they have a decent enough album to not be forgotten and the turning point will come at their third. Will the go into the dirty garage rock they've been trying (Put Your Money Where Your Mouth Is) or will they specialize in ballads (Shine On), they really seem to do the ballads much better..again using 'Shine On' as an example, it's a really 'epic' sounding moving work and sounds much more believable and heartfelt than 'most' of their rockers. Next album will seal their fate.

JET has "flown" me away

This is a phenominal album. I wasn't a huge fan of Get Born even though it had huge success, but this one is truly a charm. Jet has definitely created their own unique but familiar sound which will easily grow on you. Highlights include "Put Your Money Where Your Mouth Is", "Shine On", and "Skinny Bones", though I really enjoy the whole album. Must buy for Jet fans, and if you love music, which I'm sure you to, be sure to check this one out.
