One of the best to date!

I am very pleased with how this turned out after being a backer for over a year now. My top 5 albums of theirs now, in no order, are: Drawing Black Lines; And the Rest; Picket Fence; Knives; and Sheep. This album should be a no-brainer for buying if you enjoy Project 86.

MHS: 9/10 (Proper album opener)
Dead Man’s Switch: 9/10
Imaginary Me: 9/10
Freebooter: 8/10
By Constantine: 10/10 (I only give one “10” per album)
Copper Wish: 8/10 (This is how you do a slow song)
Sheep Among Wolves: 7/10
Into Another: 7/10
The Great Escape: 9/10
Metempsychosis: 5/10 (A little too slow for me)

If you have been let down for a few years....

Give this album a listen. It's a return to song writing along the lines of ... And The Rest Will Follow. The heavy songs are really intense and the more mellow aspects hold their own. Most importantly, Andrew Schwab finally feels inspired as a lyricist again. No more soldier/warfare/battle scenes with tons of monotonous group chanting. The lyrics are dark and heavy. Guitar parts are complex and unique. The bass parts are solid, but then they've always been.

Overall, the best album that P86 2.0 has released

Wow! This might be the best P86 record yet!

The creativity from vocals, music, mixing and transitions between songs is a beautiful piece of work!

Andrew delivers a great variety in vocal styling...keeping it interesting, intense and moody. As always, Andrew pulls no punches on lyrics and delivers some real thought provoking perspectives.

The music is heavy and layered. Great rifts and mood shifts. Darren King did a wonderful job producing, composing and engineering.

The only downside is, when the last kick drum hits in Metempsychosis I'm sad there's no more songs left.
