Great music

This band has some of the most meaningful music and lyrics I've heard in a band in a long time. Great job guys and gals!! No one will be disappointed by purchasing this album.

A Solid Debut

Even if you ignore completely the compelling story behind the artist, Gooch & The Motion’s debut album, Comin’ Home, delivers an experience that is cathartic and good old fashion audible candy.

The album is full of new tricks and styles but it does breathe some fresh life into the industry overdone on candy pop and auto tune. Gooch’s scratchy vocals are balanced out with beautiful harmony, colorful synth and keys, a very good rhythm section, and some skillful guitar work. After a few listens, I’m still trying to find a weak link in the line up.

Comin’ Home has a good front to back flow but just like a great tapas place or dim sum dive there are tastes for every style done well without ever being able to commit to one genre. You’ll get some Memphis, some Nashville, some Chicago, and some urban tastes from New York and Philly. Nothing feels forced or artificial.

Gooch & The Motion have done a fine job of creating an introductory album that makes me interested to see where they’ll be going next. This is a band to check out and, in my opinion, keep your eye on.
