As catchy as it is fierce, Screaming for Vengeance reflects Judas Priest’s sprawling vision for heavy metal. The seriously diverse tracklist boasts a little bit of everything: shout-along anthems perfect for biker brawls ("You’ve Got Another Thing Comin'"), weary ballads stained with sadomasochism (“Pain and Pleasure”), and a title track so intense and ferocious it’s proto-thrash.
