Great soundtrack

This is definately one of the better soundtracks I've ever purchased. I bought the album before seeing the movie, and after seeing the movie I found it fits the mood very well. Just great stuff overall.

the perferct movie score

unobstrusive but very enjoyable to listen to. Of course it's not the same if you havn't seen the movie, which would still be one of the best I've ever seen even without the incredible animation. (why does scanner have 3 n's in it?)

A vivid and original score

This isn't for everyone (it's not in the traditional style), but it's very atmospheric and emotional. Considering how dark the film's content is, it's surprising to hear how the scores contrasts that at times (unlike, say, Howard Shore's score for "Naked Lunch", which, while interesting to listen to, is pretty dark all the way through). I wasn't that excited by the film itself, but the music made a strong impression. In some ways, I think it may work better on its own. It creates a nice mood by blending abstract sounds and forms with a more classic approach.
