EDITORS’ NOTES

The fall from grace may be an established part of the reality narrative but The X Factor U.K winner James Arthur triumphantly flips the script on this energetically soulful second album. Personal turmoil—including an ongoing tussle with anxiety—proves the ultimate creative fuel. “Prisoner” is a bluesy hymn to self-destructiveness, “Phoenix” turns symbolic rebirth into a lusty neo-R&B cut and “Sermon”, featuring rapper Shotty Horror, is a fittingly confessional, gospel-tinged behemoth.

Wow.....

I discovered James while looking through the genre charts here in iTunes. When I started listening to the snippets, I knew I had to listen to what he had to say. His voice, the way the music carries, the magic of this album is something I wanted to witness. This is greatness birthed into genius. Every song is amazing but I have 2 that stand out to me. 'I Am' is powerful, and pumps me up. 'Say You Won't Let Go' is beautiful, and I constantly have it on repeat. You will not regret listening to this musical poet.

❤️❤️

One of the best albums I've ever heard. I love how truthful his music is and how he gets so lost when singing. Can't wait to see him live!

I'm in LOVE 😍😍😍

I stumbled across "Say You Won't Let Go" by listening to the Boyce Avenue cover that was recently released...I heard their version of it and HAD to see what the original sounded like - one listen to James and I was hooked. I literally have been binge listening/Youtube watching James Arthur since hearing this song. I also have to say that, as an avid Boyce Avenue fan, this is the first time where I think the original is better than their version. His voice is so captivating and it also helps that he is absolutely gorgeous. I really hope that he gains more popularity in the US and tours here at some point!
