Editors’ Notes Adore Life is an album about love. Thrillingly, it’s a very loud, visceral and sinister album about love. Thanks to this payload of primal emotion, the antagonism and intensity of the London four-piece’s 2013 debut has been raised and the results are extraordinary. Thunderous opener “The Answer” was presumably designed to ensure audiences lose their minds when played live, Jehnny Beth’s foreboding growl on “Adore” builds into something simultaneously threatening and life-affirming while “I Need Something New” is just one example of this album’s dark, powerful and glorious racket.
