EDITORS’ NOTES

U is a fantastic voyage, filled with deep grooves and deeper drama. The album follows the story of a relationship at its conclusion—the “U” of the title forming an incomplete circle. The album churns with shapeshifting beauty, allowing emotional undercurrents and a quickened pulse to guide tracks like “Waves” and “Run.” The London producer co-wrote and won a GRAMMY® for “Stay With Me,” but if you’re looking for a repeat performance, keep moving; U is a mostly wordless affair, letting the listener dictate the narrative while Tourist supplies a shipping container of moods to accompany them.

TOO GOOD

Emotionally Captivating!

This album sounds so mature and takes me to another place when I listen to it. The sounds will grip you through every track and the subtly complex melodies and rythmic patterns will leave you wanting more. It's quite inspiring and brings out a lot of abstract emotions which I don't find in too many albums, personally. It will make you cry, but somehow in a way that you'll be completely fine with aha. It's a great emotional journey that I think everyone can enjoy in their own way.

Phenomenal

This is the best work I've heard from Tourist by far. A heartfelt mix of songs that capture your emotions instantly. The music itself is simple and beautiful. Absolutely thrilled to have bought this on vinyl!
