Released six years after their 2007 final album, this compendium of Rilo Kiley’s career leftovers is a must-have for any devotee of the L.A. indie-pop darlings, weaving together rare outtakes, beloved B-sides, and surprise remixes (see the colourful cameo from Too $hort on their reworking of “Dejalo”). But their trademark whimsy-meets-misery style remains present and accounted for here, with the confessional indie rock of “It’ll Get You There” and the barbed adoration of “Let Me Back In” highlighting just why they’re still so cherished.
