This is the music you don't want to hear when you're sittin in some dusty, backwater, beer stained wood floored bar in the south, cuz if you do...it is on. Lincoln paints a canvas of a dirty America with his prose and further muddies the water with traditional American instrumentation. As classy as a blues man from New orleans with healthy dose of Tom Waits-like grit, this is true Americana folks. Jump on this man's bandwagon now because in 50 years he will be remembered as a modern day Robert Johnson. Just buy it...and his other albums

Another 5-Star Album

The much anticipated release for Lincoln Durham has arrived! This album takes us on a journey with Lincoln to a heightened level of soul searching, demon exercising and fire breathing that come along with his unmeasurable talent. This album gives us therapy by way of lyrical osmosis, it's the feeling of flipping off the past as we speed away towards a better future. I am beyond impressed with the direction this album took, it is pure energy from the time you hit play. It flows from song to song and tells a story into the deepest darkest corners of Durham's twisted mind.

Go back to your Zep infused Robert Johnson vibe!

Dude shaved his head and appears to be trying to channel Jack White — just stick with the Zep inspired Robert Johnson delta blues stuff you were riffing on and interpreting with such mastery before. I consider this an experiment gone astray.
