Liv(in) Him ,

You can always say Jesus, but can you live it?

I'm not here to bash anyone. I've just been reading the comments on here and I see both perspectives to a certain point. I understand that Jesus needs to be in the music, but we can say Jesus in every bar in every song. But if we arn't livin a life pleasing to Jesus, whats the point? I mean there are secular artist who put Jesus in there music...Does that make there album ok? Does it make there lifestyle ok? We just need to live Jesus and not just speak Jesus.. God Bless all of you!!!!

A Christian who raps?

Your argument against this group is way off. There is nothing wrong with being on a Christian label and rapping "man" centered rap. Christ desires a relationship with all, including Grits. Toby Mac raps about Christ all the time. There is no fear here from these "Jesus Freaks". Christ looks at the attitude of the heart and the desire to be in a relationship with Him, not the amount of times His name is mentioned in lyrics.

These are music reviews???

Can't you find a better forum to discuss your own belief about how faith & music intersect? Maybe critique this record based on it's musical merit....
Innovative tracks and a hint of 80's texturing make this a worthy project from GRITS... deal with your faith hang ups somewhere else.
