A little Irish Times

Bruce is a gifted musician. An all round artist. He can play bluegrass as well as classical and everything in between. His latest collection has an Irish feeling to it. The cd has some very good tunes in it. Marvis Staples has one of the stand out tunes. Rehab Reunion has a bit of a bluegrass feeling to it. Reviewers are writting about another version of Valley Road. yes he records it alot. But it is a sturdy song that can hold up to many different ways to perform it. Give this a listen I think you will enjoy it.

piano?

For the love, abandon this dulcimer thing. This album has zero piano and zero memorable songs. There are plenty of (too many) three chord songwriters out there already.

UGH

Bruce doing an album with no piano is like Eddie Van Halen doing an album with no guitars. I'm all for branching out and trying new things but this is a bit too far. I buy everything BH puts out, but this is boring ?$%# .... I will get the next album though. Because it's BH. Don't get me wrong, there's some good lyrics here. The dulcimers get old after about 30 seconds. Pull that Steinway back out and recut the album maybe!
