EDITORS’ NOTES

Peter Tosh sounds almost radio-friendly on the top half of his final album for The Rolling Stones' label. The former Wailer digs in deep only after an opening dance sizzler, an R&B duet, and the grooving "Reggaemylitis." After that, "Oh Bumbo Klaat" and "Guide Me From My Friends" bubble and churn ominously, and the lengthy "Rastafari Is" hypnotizes while Tosh testifies. The Jamaican dream team of drummer Sly Dunbar and bassist Robbie Shakespeare exert total rhythmic control on this slinky slice of 1981 reggae.

Stunning

Honestly one of my favorite Reggae albums of all time. In particular i love the extended version of Rok with Me, but theres not a bad song on here. Superb production. I do not see how Bob Marley ( who i love ) has 10 million fans, yet there was not one review on this album before me on here. I have listened too and loved every Marley release, yet i listen to this album more then Uprising & Catch a Fire

One of the best reggae albums ever recorded

Hands down. Pure essential reggae groove at its finest. I never tire of this album & anyone who can’t move to it is lacking something in their soul.
