14 Songs, 1 Hour 8 Minutes

EDITORS’ NOTES

By 2013, EDM was so popular that even legendary music Svengali Rick Rubin wanted to get in on the action, coproducing this remix album of Linkin Park's Living Things. With its piano chords and clattering percussion, Rubin's "reboot" of the record's lone new song, "A Light That Never Comes," nods to the roots of house music. It stands apart from the bombastic dubstep remixes turned in by heavy hitters like Datsik and KillSonik. Linkin Park mix-mastermind Mike Shinoda renders "Castle of Glass" as gothic techno, while Pusha T lays a verse over the ping-ponging synths of "I'll Be Gone."

I miss the old linkin park...

I love the single! It's great! But I miss the old linkin park

Different (obviously)

It seems like everybody is all afraid that they have totally changed and we'll never get the old Linkin Park back, and blah blah blah.... but next studio album could be totally different, maybe even closer to their Hybrid Theory/Meteora roots! We don't know what they're planning on! They changed quite a bit with the transition from the extremely unique A Thousand Suns to the more pop-friendly Living Things, did they not? I welcome change (not with all artists) with Linkin Park because there isn't a single song they've ever made that I don't like. I am looking forward greatly to this project, and am enjoying A Light That Never Comes a lot.

No One Remembers Reanimation?!?!?!?!

If you were a true Linkin Park fan you would remember that they did do something like this right after Hybrid Theory came out that sounded something like this. I mean they do have a DJ in their group and just because they hired another DJ it makes them less musically challenged?? Come on people get over yourselves and realize that this song is great. Listen to Reanimation and tell me how this does not have similarity to Reanimation. Do your research before bashing a band....
