Mars ILL is ILL

Great album. Dj Dust = best deejay. Especially on sphere of hip hop and indulgent instrumental #2

The evolved christian underground pops out.

Being their first official release around the same time as their extended crew Deepspace 5 dropped the Night We Called It A Day, Mars Ill shows so much talent with DJ Dust (check out how ill We'll Live Underground Rocks out) or the intelligent and always on rhythm rimes of Manchild. These aren't corny christian cliches' or Bible stories either but a solid first endeavor from a truly street level hip hop group. Some are better than others but if you respect the rawness of a freshman release then this will not be disappointing. Some other work of theirs is on their site but unavailable elsewhere like Old Ironsides, Pirate Radio and Blue Collar Sessions as well as a couple of solo releases on Manchilds site.
