It's good if you can get over the 80s

Radio Kaos is actually a pretty good album. It was the first Roger Waters solo album I listened to, and it did hurt a little to see someone from Pink Floyd conform so much to an era like he does with this "80s sound", but it doesn't fill the whole thing, and can be overlooked rather easily. So if your a fan of Roger Waters or Pink Floyd, and are desperately looking for something fresh, this will get the job done.

Radio K.A.O.S: A Review

I recently purchased this album off itunes and I couldn't be happier! The quality of the recording really comes through on this one. Every bass line, guitar riff, keyboard note, sound effect, and vocal track meshes together perfectly and yet each is distinct and crisp creating a sonic experience only a few key artists can attain. I used both a more expensive Maxell cd-r and very generic house-brand cd-r to burn it, and even on the cheaper blank cd, this sounds superb...nearly identical to a store bought copy! Played on my Yamaha receiver and Pioneer speakers, this is one to be experienced!
As far as the music itself goes, this is typical Waters. Each track melds into one another and tells a complete story from start to finish. My favorite track is "Who Needs Information" because I grew up during this era, graduating from high school not long after the release of K.A.O.S and it gives me a feeling of a typical summer night in the 80's that only those of us who were there could relate to and feel.
Even though some of the ideals of the songs may be outdated, the general themes still hold to this day and age. Roger Waters, in my opinion, is the greatest song writer living today. He has the uncanny ability to take me to places and feel things just by creating songs and writing the great lyrics he does so well. Do yourself a favor and give yourself the experience that is Radio K.A.O.S!!!
