This is an album where half of the tracks could’ve easy been singles, but where the full album feels and operates like a concept album. In between the regular tracks (all of which are instant classics and instantly addicting), stand intriguing transitional tracks that may not be full fledged songs but add texture and while being pretty cool on their own.

I’ll admit that as much as I enjoyed Blue Wave, I actually felt that the production and change in synth tone to a cleaner more formal synth wave feel from the rougher EP1 sound may’ve sapped some of the energy from the tracks (KEXP Shape versus studio for example). Don’t get me wrong - it was still an excellent album with some of my favorite songs... But Radiant Dawn is a more fully developed realization of the band’s formula, and also featured quite a bit of collaboration from Devojka. The overall result is a fully fledged masterpiece that feels accessible, catchy, and somewhat familiar while being experimental, energetic, and new. Hopefully this is the album that makes them big, these guys are being overlooked.
