Editors’ Notes This Israeli troubadour aims to unite the world through music, putting Hebrew and Arabic lyrics on the same album for the first time. He expands his vision to Portuguese and Ethiopian music as well, while making a few nods to Western pop songwriting and production. If the lyrics were in English, you might mistake the gruff voice and gentle piano on "Ba'Layla" for Billy Joel. Raichel's lyrics are reflective and reassuring; the Hebrew/Portuguese duet "Sabe Dues" notes that religious comfort is universal.
