Better than Recently, but Short of their Greatest

I’ve been a fan since 2013, and their original remixes and singles (2016 and earlier) are what got them noticed. They really lost that spark with Memories, and I knew the moment I heard Drew say (right before Paris) they were “listening to what’s popular now and getting inspired” their music was about to take a major downturn. There have been flashes of their former goodness in Hope and parts of Memories. This seems like a turn away from their mainstream fixation, and I’m hopeful for a return to them being their own inspiration. Is it anywhere near Julian, Setting Fires, or Kanye? No, but it’s better than the atrocity of Sick Boy. Also, more features and less Drew.
