Editors’ Notes Pentatonix’s high-energy a cappella performances give thumping pop songs an intriguing twist; on this EP, the quintet make over Macklemore & Ryan Lewis’ swaggering “Can’t Hold Us,” Calvin Harris’ pleading “I Need Your Love,” and a selection of Daft Punk tunes using only their voices. Throughout, they're as skilled at beatboxing and laying down thumping basslines as they are at locking into dizzyingly close harmonies. Originals like the somber “Run to You” and the anthem-in-waiting “Love Again” showcase intricate vocal arrangements and an ear for soaring hooks.
