Primer Día de Clases

Primer Día de Clases

A standout presence on Bad Bunny’s perreo showcase YHLQMDLG—and, incidentally, his Rimas Entertainment labelmate—Mora was bound to drop something big to back up his breakout moment. From the trap stylings of “La Receta” and “¿Qué Tú Dices?” to the evocative reggaetón of “Te Conocí Perriando” and “Fin del Mundo,” Primer Día de Clases provides an immersive full-length introduction to one of Latin music’s most promising artists. He sings with conviction on “Volando” and the ballad “Vacío,” showing off a popwise range that serves him extremely well here. On the collaboration front, he’s well supported by features by genre vets Arcángel and Farruko as well as young stars Lunay and Mariah. A key cosign, Jhay Cortez appears twice here, on their previously released single “Pégate (Remix)” and the absolutely thumping “512.”
