Take the album title seriously: On this nervy, addictive rock record, Sanctus Real share their hearts, offering up authentic songs of Christian faith, doubt, and struggle. The most rousing moments are when that struggle turns to worship: “These Things Take Time” chronicles some of the tough questions that this life offers, but in “The Redeemer” every question finds its answer and purpose in Christ. “Forgiven,” the dynamite single, is all about the believer’s true identity—not merely as sinner, but as saint, set apart by God for good things.
