Television Influence

Want I was a lost soul with my current knowledge of Citizen Cope, I was lost. Then as i noticed on that one car commercial and on Scrubs there were these two very different songs, but both were very moving. Then one day i finally decided to look up Let the Drummer Kick, and it was awesome, so i started listening to all of Cope's songs. And this my favorite album. I mean after I was done with Sideways, I moved on to Son's Gonna Rise, then Bullet and A Target, Then My Way Home, Fame, Pablo Picasso, Fame, and I am mow on D'Artagan's Theme. Every single one of these have moved me with thier beautiful lyrics. I recommend you Buy the album, but if the economy has you down get these five songs
1. Sideways
2. Bullet and a Target
3. Son's Gonna Rise
4. D'Artagan's Theme
5. My Way Home
This is one of the best albums I have ever had the joy of owning, and you should also buy it.

Quietly Brilliant

Clarence Greenwood (aka Citizen Cope) has somehow managed to successfully find a musical genre that cannot be defined in one simple word... other than brilliant. His music is mesmerizing, lyrics are poetic, poignant with an occasional hint of very subtle humor or irony. His music is calming and exhilarating at the same time. My first favorites: Son's Gonna Rise, Sideways, Bullet and a Target. But the more I listen, the more I appreciate the rest of his work on both this and his other albums. See him live if you get the chance. He is truly gifted and has much to share both with his music and lyrics.

Inexplainable Perfection

Citizen Cope is addicting, especially Bullet and a Target, and you will be surprised by how much you listen to it. Genius.
