As soon as I saw the film at a local art theater I immediately headed to a conveniently located record store and purchased the soundtrack. It's great listening for a long drive .The monologue between Harry Dean Stanton and Kinski still makes me tear up everytime I see it...or hear it. This is a film that will drive about ninety percent of modern audiences mad with boredom but what a piece of cinema they deny themselves. Ry Cooder's music suited the mood of the story perfectly.

Hi Ry

I can't believe no one has reviewed this great album. It''s a keeper.

A woman I once loved showed me this soundtrack and Ry Cooder. I listened to the album for half of a year, it becoming some heart hypnotizing slide guitar, without ever seeing the movie. Finally I watched the movie a couple of days ago. There is nothing more to say other than this album is apart of my soul.
