EDITORS’ NOTES

Unlike other ’80s groups, Duran Duran aren’t trying to recapture a bygone era, or squeeze themselves into lanes in which they don’t fit. Paper Gods feels like a natural progression for the pioneering New Romantic band. Friends like Mark Ronson, Mr Hudson, Kiesza, and John Frusciante usher the boys into the now, coating them in expressive pop-art patterns. “Last Night in the City” and “Change the Skyline” speak to Duran Duran’s urbane electro-pop sensibility, while “Pressure Off” is a glorious disco-funk throwdown with Nile Rodgers and Janelle Monáe, who gift them their own “Get Lucky.”

Another success!

Excellent, fun upbeat song for a band that even after 30+ years in the business still know what it takes to succeed. Can't wait hit the full release!

Perfect Summer Song

When I first heard this song, it was like something from 'Rio' with an updated funk track. It's an catchy, infectious song that's perfect for summer. So glad Niles Rodgers is working with the band again. His influence is definitely felt in the funky beat of this song.

This Is Rubbish

I'm guessing the band re-named themselves-Are they now called Nick Rhodes feat Simon Le Bon & Friends? Where are the drums, bass & guitar??!! Where is the band??!! Where are the melodies & harmonies??!! Instead of making an album for the 80% fan bass whose been following since 81-they're trying to capture the 20% of under 30's who really could care less...Epic fail Nick Rhodes & Friends-have to give it at least 1 star as per Apple-
