Heard " gmf" on letterman -love him!

I heard him on " late night-Letterman" was very intrigued! Came to download the " gmf" song- & amazed at the lyrics- I'm no " expert" on music but I know what I like, not often do I go straight to iTunes to download !( in fact this is the first time) I really like his lyrics, the music is soothing!

Well-crafted Angry, Edgy, and Aching Songs...

with catchy beats and beautiful melodies. But don't OD on these tracks if you're feeling blue after a breakup. Easier to handle John Grant's work sober and on happy grounds. That said, this album ranks in my top 20 best for 2013.

One of the Best Albums of 2013

The moment I heard "BlackBelt" on satellite radio early in the Spring, I just knew that I had to have the eventual album the track came from. Well, John Grant did not disappoint. John Grant's vocals partnered with a Gusgus electronic productions make for some of the most interesting grooves to have surfaced from an "electronic" album in quite some time. Having been exhausted with all of the David Guetta/Calvin Harris garbage of the past few years, it is easy to forget that electronic music can be complex, gritty, and oh-so-textured…with every moment unfolding yet another nuance in the sound production. I liked this album so much that I had to go back and check both John's and Gusgus' back catalogue of music. Both are superb. Please go straight to John's Queen of Denmark album or Gusgus' most recent Arabian Horse album. Your ears will thank you for it.
