The creepy drive of “Fear” kicks off The Letter Black’s fourth album of Christian rock and inspires that emotion using gloomy metal riffs and Sarah and Mark Anthony’s snarls and growls. The paranoid and high-pressure energy continues on “Last Day That I Cared,” gathering intensity over a relentlessly pounding kick drum. “Meant for You” lets Sarah loose as her voice sears and soars. And the expansive finale, “Holding On,” employs sweeping strings and dramatic piano to deliver its message of perseverance.
