Live instrumentation and guest vocals bring a human touch to tuneful D&B. “Ignite”’s yearning harmonies and plangent guitar riffs are as familiar to arena rock as the dancefloor, and former Bloc Party leader Kele Okereke increases the emotional punch with his love-torn vocals on “Our Story”. Oxygen is equally thrilling in its less clarified moments though, and the clicking rhythms of “Vista” and “Stay Here’”s punch-drunk slabs of bass are as entrancing as all the big hooks.
