Shout out to Bryan Erickson!

This album has a great combination of some old school VAC. Guitars are not new to the formula, but the inclusion and spacing of instruments work great. First few tracks like Conviction and The Bullet Wins hit you with some harsh electronic grooves. Wrack and Trash got an edge of a newer generation of VAC. Later songs such as Conjuro and Not of This Earth got me nodding and grooving to a more tamed sound. Yet still standing out with a lively feel without losing its hooks. Overall I think this album is great. Songs for both new or old fans. Party or casual listeners. While singles may stand out vocally heavy on the first half of this record, I found myself getting lost in the second half. Reminiscent of Ghost In the Circuit vibes. I don't think any iTunes review usually helps or pursues anyones interest into listening or liking something new rather than sampling the music first. But this was fun to write. I met Bryan after a show in NY a year ago and have nothing but positive things to say after seeing a live performance. Hope to party again to the new tracks. Thanks for music!
