Editors’ Notes Three Dog Night were built on the tripartite vocal blend of Chuck Negron, Danny Hutton, and Cory Wells and boasted an unbelievably accomplished backing band that featured the undersung guitar heroics of Michael Allsup, a guy whose playing is as dirty as it is sweet. The brass- and organ-rich arrangements set a tone that fit smoothly into the '70s radio milieu.
