This cd is Barbra's only live recoring during the 80's. She suffered from paralyizing stage fright and had to be talked into doing a concert. To help her ease her fears, this live concert was recorded in her backyard of her Malibu estate and was a fund-raiser for Democratic concerns. Yes, Barbra does get a bit preachy but her version of these songs which she totally sounds at ease will promt forgiveness. A standout track is her moving tribute to Judy Garland "Somewhere Over The Rainbow." Now, the sound quality is that of the typical 80's cd, an analog transfer of a well-recorded live event, not "remastered" as we've come to know the term.

This Concert was a special treat for every Streisand fan because of her long hiatus and it's more like a Live Greatest Hits album with all of my Favorites People, The Way We Were, Some Where Over The Rainbow, Send In The Clowns, Papa Can You Hear Me, Evergreen, Happy Days Are Hear Again, What Kind of Fool Am I, & America The Beautiful.
