Your Coffee Is a Disaster
Not For Lack of Trying
Following The Goat Rodeo Sessions of 2011, these four musical greats get back together for another album—and bluegrass, classical, maybe a splash of jazz are all part of the mix. This album is a lot of fun, and it’s the energy and seeming spontaneity of the music-making that’s most infectious. Stuart Duncan’s banjo- and fiddle-playing is thrilling, as is the work of the multi-talented Chris Thile (mandolin, fiddle, guitar, vocals). Edgar Meyer gives everything a wonderfully inventive bass foundation while Yo-Yo Ma’s cello ducks and darts impishly. Aoife O'Donovan’s vocals guild a handful of songs deliciously.
