Excellent and nearly forgotten

This is a terrific release! Very melodic and somewhat melancholy, but ultimately some fine music that sounds fresh nearly thirty years on. This release also includes the entirety of Ben's intriguing collaboration with Robert Wyatt ("Summer into Winter"). Although I'm also a Wyatt fan, I have to admit that I prefer the "North Marine Drive" tracks (#s 1-9). If you're a fan of EBTG you shouldn't miss this one (or Tracey Thorn's solo CD from the same time period " A Distant Shore").

Best Early Ben Watt

I have had a copy of this album since it was released on vinyl, (remembering lean days in my student digs)... great tunes to chillout to on a rainy day in middle England! Ben Watt has changed somewhat but I am sure you will agree this album shows that even his early solo material is quality especially "Waiting Like Mad"
