EDITORS’ NOTES

Blistering post-punk and surf grooves that want you to party like it’s 1979—that’s the formula fizzing through this debut EP from Brooklyn trio Andrew Kerr, Brendon Avalos and Britton Walker. And while B Boys are audibly indebted to some notable rip-snorting forbears—see Kerr drumming like a dangerously caffeinated beast on “Psycho (Fast)”—No Worry No Mind can still surprise. “I Don’t Mind” adds kaleidoscopic shoegaze to the mix, and “Get A Grip” is a heart-pounding slice of perfection that thrillingly changes shape halfway through.
