Great sound

This will be a great album. Sounds a bit like "in this light..." with a lot of synth use. So glad these guys are producing music.

The Revival...

It seems the editors have found their greatness again. A little disappointed with their previous album after bursting on the scene with their first two albums, this new offering is best described as pure brilliance. It captures everything that is unique about them, and is beautifully polished with an ambience that is heavenly. Well done.

Let down

I'm a big fan of this band. I own all their full-length releases, and some of their more ephemeral material (including their Cure cover, and Tom Smith's work with the Japanese Popstars). I previewed and purchased the deluxe version of this release. After multiple full listens, upon further review, I'm disappointed. No Harm is outstanding, with solid, building, brooding dread. The rest is forgettable synth-self indulgence. Not a guitar to be found! TBR and AEHAS were pure brilliance. Driving guitar and percussive power. Things got weird with ITLAOTE, but there were some keepers. Improvement came with TWOYL. In Dream already sounds dated after 3 listens, and I have no desire to keep it "in rotation". They need to bring back the guitars and percussion. And iTunes needs to stop letting mindless, cult like fans and followers post their nonsense prior to release date.
