Self Aware Bitch - EP

First thing you should know about Toronto singer Anna Sofia: Despite writing songs with titles like "No Fun” and “Meaner Girl,” she doesn’t make aggressive punk. But that doesn’t mean she can’t level a little social criticism. Her debut EP, Self Aware Bitch, uses soul-infused bedroom pop to cushion wry observations of the teenage variety, whether she's navigating hallway gossip, the lunch line, or the facades that everyone can hide behind at times. “It touches on what I like to believe every kid in high school has experienced at some point or another,” she tells Apple Music. "Even if it wasn’t something I necessarily experienced firsthand, my friends would share their stories with me and they found their way into my songs too."
