12 Songs, 47 Minutes

EDITORS’ NOTES

After safely negotiating those choppy comeback waters with 2013’s robust Bloodsports, Suede go in for something altogether more ambitious. Their seventh album is a grand beast, decorously detailed with orchestras, sumptuous regret, and desire untamed. Songs bleed into each other, there’s a wonderfully indulgent (and well-earned) reprise, and Brett Anderson has rarely channeled his lithe, lascivious energy more effectively. He’s electric on “Outsiders” and “No Tomorrow”—that swagger now rich with self-reproach. “Pale Snow,” “I Can’t Give Her What She Wants,” and “The Fur & the Feathers,” meanwhile, are exquisite portraits of a band using their grueling past to move masterfully onto a new chapter.

Another great record!

Suede had two dud records before their first run ended (not terrible by any means just lackluster by their standards). Their reunion however has brought two great albums to tide it over even better than Coming Up! The themes are no foreign territory, but are celivered with just as much passion as their first works. Here's to a few more great albums before they retire to Valhalla!

This will be a contender for one of the best rock albums of 2016

Suede knocked this one out of the park. This record has "Tunes" man. Outsider, Like Kids, No Tomorrow, I don't know how to reach you, and my personal favorite What I'm trying to tell rock my house man. One of the Best albums Suede have ever created. This a buy it and savior record.

Viva La Suede!!!

Absolutely beautiful album. Musical bliss. 🖤 “Outsiders” & “No Tomorrow” are by far my favorite tracks. All are worthy of recognition though.
