This Album Is Golden

I listened to this album probably a thousand times in high school. Although I've outgrown the screaming, this is Dead Poetic at their best. Even their heaviest songs are filled with beautiful melodies, and their lyrics come straight from the heart. The song "Glass In the Trees," is my favorite. I actually covered the song in my guitar class. It's about trying to cope with losing a friend in a car crash, hence the somewhat graphic title. My teacher had actually started tearing up, and afterwards told someone that he lost his best friend in a car crash at an early age, and that's why he started playing the guitar. It was a really memorable moment for me. So thank you Dead Poetic, for being there and making great, meaningful music that people can relate to. Even the packaging of the physical album is unique and nothing short of spectacular. I wish they never broke up. If you want to hear the best of Dead Poetic, and to own one of the best albums ever released by Tooth & Nail Records, click the "buy" button. You won't regret it.

I discovered this band when I was 17 and I loved it. Just listening to it again and it brings me back to those days. Good music and good lyrics.
