EDITORS’ NOTES

Since the late '70s, this talented Aussie group had been circling a sound that encompassed hip-hop, new wave, dance-pop, R&B, and hard rock. Well, it took them nearly a decade, but they eventually got it right in 1987. So right, “Kick” punched a large hole in the album charts, with four brilliant Top Ten singles("Devil Inside," "Need You Tonight," "New Sensation," and "Never Tear Us Apart") that guaranteed superstar status. Singer Michael Hutchence fronted the band with a menacing, irresistible sexuality, adding still another exhilarating element to an '80s album that simply has it all.

Perhaps One of The Greatest!

This album is perhaps one of the gretest of all time. When you get an album that has every track possibly a hit, you have a great album! "Kick" is a album (cassette, CD, digital) that can be played over and over, and there is no bad song. Someone gave it one star because videos aren't available...go to youtube..."Mediate" may be one of the greatest videos ever produced, and "Guns in the Sky" is on par to be another of the greatest. The band was before its time in music videos, and iTunes should make an effort to make these available. The album is one of the best, and Michael Hutchence was a terrible loss not only to music, but to the world.

Still Kicking it even though Hutchence is no longer with us

INXS was the kind of band that One Direction and 5 Seconds of summer never will be and there's a reason why Need You Tonight/Mediate was one of the greatest Videos ever made! Michael Hutchence Rest in peace and thanks for the music!
