EDITORS’ NOTES

After leaving Soulwax (the band) dormant for well over a decade, it feels fitting that the Dewaele brothers resurrect their original guise with a subversive, one-take electronic blitz. FROM DEEWEE is a combative record, rigid with taut drums, hypnotic synths, and a deliciously portentous mood. “Conditions of a Shared Belief,” “Is It Always Binary,” and “My Tired Eyes” are highlights, but this is meticulously engineered to be enjoyed as one relentless thrill ride.

Their Best Work

Soulwax (aka 2 Many DJ's) have managed to stay cool for well over a decade now, and this album is their best, most consistently excellent work. At time it sounds like the best Depeche Mode album ever, at others like less-French Justice, but whatever the analogy, it's a driving, edgy, diverse dancefloor record that pushes the envelope for 2017.

Lots more like this, please.

IT'S SO EFFIN' GOOD!

Serioulsy, it's so good. To listen from top to bottom is a real pleasure as each track rolls wonderfully into the next.
