Very Good Album From a Blues "King"

There was Albert, B.B., and Freddie, three huge Kings of the later, '50's-wave blues. They are all great. Freddie took his sizzling Texas tone to Chicago, where he continued to hone his sound. This album interprets this very well. At times the horn section can be a little overbearing, but Freddie's sweet tone cuts through nicely. A great collection of songs from a bluesman who passed on before he could be properly recognized. But just ask Eric Clapton how meaningful Freddie was to him!
