Longtime Luna Fan ,

"Lunar Days" = Superb

I thought these guys had decided to call it quits. That would have made the world a much less enjoyable place because the music this band makes is simply exquisite. I'm not sure they even realize just how important their work is to their relatively small cadre of fans, but I can tell you it is. When I heard The Clientele would be releasing a new album this fall my heart rejoiced. And when I heard the preview track "Lunar Days" I was blown away. It's as good as anything they've done, with so much groove and a chorus hook that makes you smile. As usual, the recording mix is simply superb, which is something I've always loved about this band. The bass has so much punch (even if it's no longer Mel), the guitar just the right amount of reverb and you can hear every note of every arpeggio, and the vocal just shines. They have an excellent producer. Well done. Can't wait to hear the rest of the album and, most importantly, I'm so glad to hear one of my favorite bands is still making their gorgeous, unique music – music from a different era modernized to fit perfectly with this one.

Good to have them back

yes, this sounds promising. Maybe the greatest band that nobody knows, with some of the most beautiful songs made in the last 20 years. Let's hope the rest of the album is as strong. Good to have new music from this great band.
