The things you hear on Chuck

Heard Dead Pony on Chuck last night and thought, " dude is good". Very real, addicting melodies. I am a hip hop kid but recommend buying this!

learn to love this guy - now!

I chanced upon Nico Stai earlier this year and am so thrilled that I did. His songs are very 'heart on his sleeve' explorations of regret, hope, discovery and observation - each one designed to inspire the listener in a unqiue way. His style is raw and personal and magnetic. If nothing else, buy Dead Pony and Masters and Whispers, two of my favorites, and you will not be disappointed.
The facts are that he's tremendously talented and passionate. He's also pretty cute, too!

Solid Album

"Dead Pony/Miss Friday" is a solid album. Lyrically, many of the songs do not focus on happy topics but they still manage to maintain an upbeat attitude nonetheless. The use of different instruments and rhythms adds a unique touch to each song. My only complaint is the lack of depth lyrically between songs. Too often songs are referencing the same idea as a prior song (such as the fact that he mentions waking up in over half the songs). Overall this is a very good, relaxing, melodic album. Dead Pony and The Skies Over Your Head are the album highlights for me.
