An updated remake by Maurice of his old classics is worth listening to

Please note that when Maurice performed these pieces, he provided us with an updated feel without losing the old charm. For those of us that like an alternative to listening to crackly old 'Radio-like' recordings, these pieces instead keep the old world charm of Maurice, provide somewhat of a better recording, and are more like listening to his performances in favorite Movie scores. When I was a kid, my folks played these versions of his songs alot - and when I found this album I was pleased to learn that there is still a lot of charm to it.

Not the good originals

Beware, these are NOT the great old versions from the 1930s. It sounds like maybe 1950ish remakes with cheesy orchestration. Too bad the real versions are not available here because they’re very fun and funny. And you can dance to ‘em. These will put you to sleep. Guess Maurice needed some money before he got old and they started putting him back in movies.
