Mi Ritmo Llego

There is a light at the end of the tunnel...the tunnel i refer to is the dismal state of latin music over the last ten years or so...with this cd, George Delgado brings musicians back to the forefront...this is one of the best!!!...no filler material, just some striaght-up, dance your a** off music that will last for some time...vaya!!!

A must-have salsa release

This album is one of my favorite salsa albums of recent years. I own the CD and it pretty much lives in my CD player! George Delgado is one of the busiest congueros around today and for an obvious reason: this album swings from top to bottom. Dancers will love this album, and there is a wealth of education in here for musicians. From a bass player's perspective, I can say that Mr. Delgado has chosen to use several different bass players for this release - a virtual who's who of top salsa bass players. For anyone out there looking to understand how a salsa rhythm section should function, then look no further! It is difficult to pick a favorite track, they are all truly superbly done.

Other similar albums that I would highly, highly recommend in addition to this one (which are also other fine examples of Delgado's work) include Spanish Harlem Orchestra's "United We Swing", and Jimmy Bosch's "Salsa Dura". Enjoy!
