Original Versions

As far as I can tell, these are the original versions of these songs. I came of age in the late 60's, and these sure sound right to me.

Uncle Funkel ,

Take Me Way Back

Back in 1967, I remember playing over and over again the 45 by the Buckinghams, "Kind of a Drag". I played it on the little ancient turn table that could only play 45's. Even though the sound quality was crude and totally unexceptible by today's standards, it did not matter. I loved the song and just about anything the Buckinghams ever produced back then.
If you are not really familiar with a lot of the groups material, let me suggest two songs that I see are not rated in the Itunes top five. Those two would be,"I Call Your Name" and "Mercy, Mercy, Mercy". After "Kind of a Drag", those two songs are my other favorite songs by the guys.
The Buckinghams will always be one of my top bands from back in my high school days in the late 60's.

Box of Rain ,

Good Times

Saw them in Concert on the "Hot Autumn Nights" Tour with the Grass Roots, Mickey Dolenz & Tommy James. They sound great and you gotta give them credit for putting on a nice show.
