Maverick is a fun movie, and the score does a nice job of capturing that sentiment.
It's a combination of light motifs (such as the theme for Annabelle) and situation music (such as "In & Out of Trouble"). It sounds like a western and an adventure from start to finish.

The album's worth purchasing as a whole, but if you pick just one track (if, for example, you're putting together a film scores playlist), I suggest the one titled "Runaway Stage." It's expressive of the movie's overall tone, and has a nice variety in its setup. My second pick would be "Maverick," but it's only 56 seconds, whereas "Runaway Stage" has more room to develop at 4 minutes and 50 seconds.
